Abstract: This research explores strategies for promoting entrepreneurship through vocational education in Nigeria, aiming to equip students with entrepreneurial skills and mindset for economic empowerment. Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in fostering innovation and economic development, particularly in vocational sectors. The study aims to (1) identify key entrepreneurial competencies demanded by industries, (2) evaluate current approaches in integrating entrepreneurship into vocational curricula, and (3) propose frameworks for enhancing entrepreneurial education and support systems. A survey research design is employed to gather insights from educators, entrepreneurs, and vocational graduates. A sample size of 400 participants will be chosen through purposive sampling to represent vocational institutions and small business owners in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. Case studies will highlight successful entrepreneurial initiatives within vocational education. Findings indicated a growing interest in entrepreneurship among students but identified gaps in practical training and mentorship. Recommendations include embedding entrepreneurial modules, fostering industry partnerships, and establishing incubation centers to nurture entrepreneurial skills and ventures among vocational students, thereby promoting sustainable economic growth.
